Warner’s Jaxson Cash – Baseball Spotlight – Presented by Warner Eagle Pride

For Jaxson Cash, baseball has been a lifelong passion. “I am a junior Christian athlete at Warner High School. I started playing baseball when I was four and haven’t stopped since,” he shared. That early start has shaped Jaxson’s love for the game and his dedication to constantly improving.

Jaxson credits his father for being his biggest inspiration. “My dad inspired me to play baseball. He has been coaching me up in everything since I was born,” Jaxson said. His father’s guidance has been a cornerstone of his growth as a player and a person.

Team chemistry is an area Jaxson values deeply. “The chemistry this year I believe is going to be outstanding. Almost all of us have been playing together since T-ball and coach pitch, not to mention we are already one big family,” he explained. That bond, built over years, gives the team a strong foundation as they aim for success this season.

When it comes to his role on the team, Jaxson is flexible and ready to contribute wherever he’s needed. “This season I am going to fit into whatever role coach Brad Davis and coach Foreman need me to play,” he said. “I prepare simply by putting the extra time in and working on the right stuff.”

Jaxson’s goals for this season are both team- and individual-focused. “This season I want to win as many games as possible. I hope my teammates and I thrive to win and trust the coaches in their decisions, but most importantly, I want to make it to State,” he said.

Looking back at his sports career, Jaxson identifies a challenging moment that taught him resilience and patience. “The most challenging moment in my sports career so far has definitely been this past October through mid-January. During the football season, I tore my rectus femoris unknowingly and played through it,” he shared. “While overcoming the injury, I became closer with God and started understanding patience and His plan, which really pushed me through it all.”

After high school, Jaxson plans to study environmental engineering and continue his basketball career. Grateful for his journey, Jaxson is optimistic about the future, giving thanks to God, his family, and his teammates.
