
VIAN CHEERLEADERS – STATE CHAMPIONS
“Hard Work Pays Off”…as the 25-member strong Vian cheerleaders dominated the 15-team field to win the Class 3A Game Day state championship. The endless hours of early morning practices and after school workouts resulted in a flawless performance and rewarding the athletic efforts of the Vian cheerleaders with the top prize.
Eleven seniors spearheaded the gold-medal winning group including Rebel Buttery, Ali Cornelius, Jorryn Feezell, Scarlett Fields, Kiah Richardson, Halli Russell, Tressa Sandlin, Adlee Sharp, Averey Smith, Amelia Steely and Rayleigh Terrill.
Seven juniors including Kylie Covey, Sidney Cox, Isabella King, Eva Lee, Cassidee Postoak, Tina Rautenberg, Delilah Wolfe joined a quartet of sophomores Brooklyn Cox, Amya Lackey, Katie Reason, Bostyn Rodgers along with a trio of freshmen Gracie Buttery, Leila Cheater and Olivia Lovell to make all of the hard work worth every minute of preparation.
The continual pep talks and encouraging words from Vian coaches Jordan Taylor and Callie Prier including well known phrases “one more time” and “eyebrows up” will be just a part of the memories cherished forever as part of the legacy of Vian cheerleaders in winning the state championship title the “VIAN WAY”.
