BRODY GRIDER
Haskell High School
As the spring baseball season opens, Brody Grider continues to play a vital role in the success of the Haskell Haymakers. A three-year starter, the 2026 senior continues a family tradition of handling the “hot corner” at third base as well as adding strength to the pitching staff that has resulted in Haskell posting a 9-1 record and climbing into the Top 10 rankings of Class 2A baseball.
Standing 6-foot-1 and with a strong right arm and mixing a variety of pitches, Grider has been effective on the mound with a 1.56 ERA while recording 12 strikeouts and a 2-0 record. Aggressive at the plate, Grider tops the early season statistics posting a .458 batting average to produce 13 runs batted in for the Haymakers.
“No matter if I’m playing third or on the mound, my strong arm gives me an advantage and my approach at the plate is see ball – hit ball,” Grider said with confidence. “This team is made up of players that push each other to be better. The team unity and no fear approach enables us to hold each other accountable as well as celebrate the victories.”
Grider, who also played football at Haskell, plans to enter the U.S. Army following graduation in May.
