“GOOSE” TO BE A SOONER-sponsored by Kevin Grover GMC

Wagoner’s Juliana “Goose” Hutchens solidified her softball future choosing to stay close to home with her commitment to the University of Oklahoma. After last weekend’s official visit to explore Patty Gasso’s program, Goose decided to wear the crimson and cream as a member of the Sooners softball program after the OU coach and Texas Tech coach Gerry Glasco watched from the stands at Wagoner’s home game against Checotah on Tuesday.

Arguably one of the nation’s top recruits in the 2027 class, Hutchens finalized her commitment on Thursday afternoon by selecting the Sooners over other finalists including Texas Tech, Arkansas, UCLA and Texas.

The left-handed power hitter who tied an Oklahoma high school record with 23 home runs during the 2024 season, Hutchens softball skills allow her to play a variety of positions.

A key performer in her Oklahoma team that won the Little League World Series title in 2021, Hutchens continues her junior campaign with the Lady Bulldogs and will compete in the World Cup as a member of the USA Softball under-18 team.
