EUFAULA IRONHEADS
Coach: RYAN GREEN

OUTLOOK
Ryan Green begins his 10th season at the helm of the Eufaula softball program which
has been a perennial playoff team and made it to the state tournament the past two
seasons in fast pitch. “Coming off a deep playoff run last season, we’re looking to
extend our season as far as possible again in October. Our pitching and defense should
be capable of keeping us competitive in most games while on offense we’ll be looking to
put pressure on teams and look for timely hitting in big situations,” said Green as he
looked ahead to the upcoming 2025 season. Senior Rayleigh Peterson will be the main
player of focus this year for the Ironheads because of her talent and her senior
leadership. “Rayleigh will be a four-year starter for us and while she has mainly played
second base, this year we’ll ask her to play multiple positions as needed,” said Green.
“She is the epitome of Ironhead softball and always willing to do whatever her team
needs to help them win. She has delivered lots of big-time hits in crucial situations and
is a kid who wants those opportunities to get things done for the team,” said the head
coach. Another big to success for Eufaula will Green’s daughter Leah who will return to
pitch. “Leah spent most of her freshman season in the circle for us. She competed very
well and loves to compete in big time moments. She’ll keep us competitive in most
games,” said dad/coach Green. Another key returner for Eufaula is senior Emma Lovett.
“Emma joined us last year and knows what the expectations and goals for our team are.
She held down the centerfield spot and had some big-time defensive plays and timely
hitting during our state tournament run. We’re expecting big things from her this year,”
said Green. Other players that Green expects to make big contributions this year are
junior outfielder Abby Box and sophomore Haannah Needham who will handle the
majority of the catching duties and who Green calls “a beast behind the plate.”
