How ‘Bout Those Ironheads – Presented by Bank of Eufaula

EUFAULA’S TOP 10 + 1

Another year of excellence is almost at Eufaula High School as the Ironheads excelled in their respective areas of competition including athletics, band, cheer, and FFA. Job Well Done! Seniors 2025 set the standard for achievement again this year, for most a tenure of 12 years of Ironhead pride and performance. The academic excellence among the Class of 25 is showcased by the “Top 10 + 1” graduating seniors anchored by Co-Valedictorians Jadence Efurd and Kate Pippenger along with Salutatorian Zayd Tariq.

Jadence Efurd is the daughter of Jared & Tandi Efurd and the granddaughter of Vicki & Jerry Efurd and Randal & Paula Galbraith. Jadence is the president of the National Honor Society and Senior class officer. She is also a Gifted and Talented, Teens for Christ/FCA, and Yearbook member. She has been a member of the Lady Ironhead Fastpitch & slowpitch softball teams, Lady Ironhead basketball team, and Lady Ironhead golf team. She will be attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University to study pre-med with hopes of one day becoming a pediatrician.

Kate is the daughter of Jeff & Andrea Pippenger and the granddaughter of Mike & Sue Scifres & John and Cindy Pippenger. Kate is a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma High School Honor Society. She has been the Vice President of her class for 3 years. She is a member of FCA, Native American Cultural Club, and North Fork Baptist Church. She is a member of the Fastpitch, Slowpitch, basketball and track teams. She was named Oklahoma Fastpitch All-State. Kate is planning to go to Oklahoma State University, where she is weighing her career options.

Zayd is the son of parents Kara Hamilton and Nate Owens, the grandson of Karen and Larry Armstrong and Sharon Hamilton. He is currently serving his second year as the President of the class of 2025, the Vice President of the National Honor Society, one of the team captains of the 2023-24 academic team, and a member of the Pride of Eufaula leadership team. This year, he also served as a drum major for the Pride of Eufaula and the Salutatorian for this year’s graduating class. In the evenings, Zayd attends Kiamichi Technology Center in McAlester, where he serves as a Goldstar ambassador, National Technical Honor Society member, and a class representative for their HOSA chapter, for whom he recently competed at the state level. In his free time, Zayd loves to stay fit, educated, and active while working and spending as much time as he can with his friends and girlfriend before college. Zayd plans to graduate and attend the University of Oklahoma, where he will pursue pre-med courses with a major in biology and high hopes for a successful journey through and after medical school.

Amberly is the daughter of Cory & Nichole Adcock. She is the granddaughter of Bill & Mary Adcock and Mark & Carolyn Harjo. Amberly is a member of the National Honor Society and Gifted and talented. After high school, Amberly plans to attend Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College for her Associates degree. Then, Southeastern Oklahoma State University to receive her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. She plans to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.  Amberly wants to follow the calling that God has placed on her life.

Dusty is the son of Magan and Dusty Eby. He is the grandson of Deena and Mike McFadden and Hidy and Cecil Eby. He is a member of the basketball team. After graduation, Dusty plans to attend The University of Oklahoma. While he does not know exactly what he wants to major in, Dusty believes Norman is the perfect place to find out what the next chapter in his life will include. BOOMER SOONER!

Kulvne Begay, a proud member of the Muscogee, Navajo, and Chickasaw Nations, is a first-generation college student and the current 2025 Junior Miss Indian Oklahoma. Kulvne is a boarding school student at Eufaula Dormitory, and will take the next step in her journey at Vanderbilt University, where she plans to major in Biochemistry and study abroad programs. After earning her degree, she plans to join the military and continue her education to become an anesthesiologist. Kulvne looks forward to traveling the world, and building financial independence in her future.

Cayden is he son of Jeremy and Stasha Moore of Eufaula. He is the grandson of Shirley Hopkins of Eufaula, Jimmy and Lisa Moore of Indianola, and the late Robert Hopkins. Cayden is a member of the National Honor Society and the EHS Cross Country and Track teams. This fall he plans to attend the University of Oklahoma to pursue a degree in Criminology with the possibility of Law School.

Maddie is the daughter of Jennifer Ballard and the granddaughter of Lisa Floyd. After graduation, Maddie will be attending Connors State College to pursue her degree as a registered nurse. High school has been full of unforgettable memories, lessons, and friendships that Maddie will carry with her into this next chapter. She is so thankful for all the support she has received along the way and can’t wait to see what the future holds. 

Emily is the daughter of Traci and the late David Ford. She is the granddaughter of Billie and the late Richard Ford and the late Linda Phillips. Emily will be attending Oklahoma State University in the fall, pursuing a degree in Zoology. Emily plans on working in the conservation field and helping to protect endangered species and their habitats.

Evan Lane is the son of Tanika Lane and Joshua Lane. He is the grandson of Linda Blakney, Leroy Lane, and the Late Becky Lane. Evan is a member of the Golf team and the Pride of Eufaula where he has been on the leadership team for 3 years. In the fall, Evan will be attending Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Evan will be majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

Kadie is the daughter of Dustin and Jamie Tidwell. She is the granddaughter of Rick and Sharon Tidwell of Checotah and the late Teri Garner of Porum. Kadie was a class officer for 3 years. She has been a member of the Lady Ironhead Fastpitch and slowpitch teams for 4 years. In the fall, Kadie plans on attending Eastern Oklahoma State College to pursue a degree in agriculture.
