ADDY WHITELEY

Fort Gibson Lady Tigers

“Whatever it takes”…such is the everyday mindset of Addy Whiteley, who continues to set the standard of success for the Fort Gibson Lady Tigers basketball team.  The 5-5 senior point guard stood tall above the rest while leading the Lady Tigers to the championship of the 51st annual Old Fort Classic totaling 68 points, 12 assists and only three turnovers and was the team’s second leading rebounder with 5 boards per contest in addition to grabbing 15 steals to earn Most Valuable Player honors on the All-Tournament team.  Entering the second half of her senior season, Whiteley is averaging 16 points per game while collecting 56 steals and distributing 55 assists in just 16 games.

“Addy is a complete player in all facets of the game.  As good as she is on the basketball court, Addy is just as good off the floor,” said head coach Scott Lowe. “She’s the definition of what it takes to be a Lady Tiger, a true champion in all aspects of her life and she’s a role model for all of our young kids at Fort Gibson.”

After graduating in May, Whiteley will continue her basketball career on scholarship at Northeastern State University.
