Hannah Palmer’s journey in basketball began at a young age. “I’ve been playing basketball since I was about five years old. Growing up, I tried multiple sports, but eventually, I decided to focus solely on basketball.” It wasn’t long before her passion for the game took off, especially once she joined AAU basketball. “I’ve been fortunate to travel often for the sport, and I love playing it year-round,” she adds, eager for the next chapter in her basketball journey.
While she didn’t have a specific moment of inspiration, Hannah knows what fuels her today: the thrill of victory. “What inspires me most is the thrill of winning, especially alongside the friends I’ve come to call family. I’m a big team player and love building close bonds with my teammates.” Her mother, however, is her biggest influence. “My biggest influence is my mom; she sees the potential in me and pushes me to be my best,” she says.
As a point guard and shooting guard, Hannah takes pride in her role as a leader. “My specific role on the team is to be a leader and a strong communicator,” she shares. “I prepare for my role by approaching every game with a positive mindset, ready to lead and contribute to the team’s success.”
This season, the team’s chemistry is stronger than ever. “We’re such a close-knit group, and having a smaller team makes it even better because we know each other so well.”
Hannah’s goals for the season are equally clear. “My goals for this season are to make First Team All-Conference and help my team reach Area and State,” she says. She’s eager to see where the hard work will take them, and she’s driven to continue pushing herself and her teammates to new heights.
Outside of basketball, Hannah has a creative side, enjoying art and cooking. “I have a passion for art and cooking, along with so many other creative hobbies,” she says, always looking for new ways to express herself. Whether it’s on the court or in the kitchen, her energy and enthusiasm shine through.
Looking ahead, Hannah plans pursue a degree in radiology or a related field. Her goal is to become an MRI technician or possibly a radiologist, combining her passion for helping others with a career in the medical field.
