Muldrow Bulldogs Baseball Team 2025

The Muldrow Bulldogs Baseball Team enters the 2025 season with a youthful roster, looking to rebuild after a challenging period. Despite being in a rebuilding phase, head coach John Rozell is optimistic about the team’s prospects, especially with the leadership of a strong senior class and a talented crop of underclassmen. “We are a young team in rebuilding mode,” Rozell explained. “But we have an outstanding senior in Jonah Claborn who are leaders on and off the field. We also have a couple juniors in Wyatt Prewett and Gabe Miller who are very versatile and can play anywhere on the field.”

As a senior, Jonah Claborn stands out as the team’s most valuable player. According to coach Rozell, Jonah is “a leader in the truest sense of the word.” As the team’s ace on the mound, Jonah is expected to be a key contributor throughout the season. “He brings outstanding command of the strike zone and his pitches. He changes speeds well and throws multiple pitches for strikes,” Rozell noted. Offensively, Jonah is a threat in the three or four hole, known for his ability to drive in runs and hit extra-base hits into the gaps. When not pitching, he’ll anchor either of the corner infield positions.

Alongside Jonah, Muldrow’s young talent is expected to make an immediate impact. One such player is freshman Jace Prewett, who will serve as the team’s number two pitcher. Rozell praised Jace for his versatility: “Jace can play anywhere on the field and will be our number two guy on the mound this spring.” His adaptability and skills make him one to watch for the future.

Another underclassman making waves is freshman Tripp Rozell, who has already earned a reputation as the emotional leader of the team. Coach Rozell said, “Tripp brings versatility and unmatched excitement and enthusiasm that is contagious. Even as a freshman, he is a big part of what we do.”

Finally, Rozell highlighted Gabe Miller as a standout both on the field and off. Gabe’s athleticism and speed make him a key component of the team, and his character sets him apart. “He is a good hitter with good speed, the fastest player on our team,” Rozell said. “He is also an excellent student, a stand-up guy who is well respected by his teammates, coaches, and staff at school.”

While Muldrow may be a young team, the leadership from their upperclassmen and the promise of their underclassmen suggest an exciting season ahead.
