Stigler’s Keeli Adams – Softball Spotlight – Presented by Dunn Ford Company

Keeli Adams has been passionate about sports for as long as she can remember, but softball quickly became her favorite. “I was always athletic and loved sports. I started when I was five years old and was totally in love with the sport,” she said. Now a sophomore at Stigler High School, Adams is determined to keep improving and make an impact on her team.

Family has played a huge role in her journey. “Just watching my cousin play softball was really what made me want totry, and my biggest influences were definitely my mom and dad,” she shared. “I’m very grateful for them for getting me to where I am today.” Their constant support has fueled her dedication, both on and off the field.

Looking ahead to this season, Adams is excited about what’s to come. “It’s definitely going to be more together and going to have more fun than last year,” she said. She also embraces the challenge of stepping into a leadership role despite being an underclassman. “I want to be a leader even though I’m only a sophomore in high school, and preparing for it will be a struggle, but I will try my best.”

To stay in top shape, Adams follows a steady training routine. “I normally work out one time a day, mostly on Wednesdays, and its speed and agility stuff. I work out for an hour,” she explained. This dedication has helped her push past obstacles, including one of the toughest moments of her career. “When I pulled my hamstring when I was 12, I was out for a whole season. I overcame it after half a season—I was still limping, but I stretched it every day and iced it for 15 minutes.”

One of her proudest moments came during fastpitch season. “I hit a walk-off home run against a good team and that had us win our game,” she recalled. With goals to continue improving and leading by example, Adams is determined to keep striving. “I definitely want to play college softball,” she said. With her strong mindset and support system, that dream is well within reach.
