How ‘Bout Those Ironheads! – Presented by Bank of Eufaula 

IRONHEADS GO BACK TO BACK

With a lineup filled with talented playmakers, Eufaula softball punched their ticket to the OSSAA Class 3A Fastpitch State Tournament for a second straight season. With the leadership example of four seniors including Kate Pippenger, Kadie Jo Tidwell, Madison Ballard and Jadence Effurd setting the standard of performance, the Ironheads rolled through the Class 3A regional and Super Regional tournaments with a 30-win campaign to advance to the 8-team field competing for the state championship at Devon Park in Oklahoma City. Coach Ryan Green’s squad won the 3A-8 District Championship with a perfect 12-0 regular season mark. Also playing key roles in Eufaula’s return to the state tournament were the junior duo of Rayleigh Peterson and Emma Lovett along with a quartet of sophomores including Briley Gragg, Abby Box, Burkleigh Lange and Hannah Beaver joined by six talented freshmen including Leah Green, Hannah Needham, Claudia McDaniel, Raci Summerlin, Jana Hickman and Olivia Luna. 

GRAND CHAMPION BAND

The Pride of Eufaula won overall best band honors while competing at the Sounds of the Southeast Marching Contest on October 5th in Checotah. The list of honors for the E-Town band included 1st Place Class 4A White, 1st Place Drum Major, 1st Place Color Guard, overall highest scoring Color Guard, Overall high scoring band, Overall outstanding Drum Line in Drum Line Battle, Overall outstanding Guard Duet (Hannah and Kyiah) as well as Overall outstanding Color Guard Ensemble.

The Eufaula band claimed second place in the finals of the Beggs Marching Contest on October 12th after earning first place among Class 4A competition and Outstanding Color Guard honors. 

Moving up to Class 4A for the 2024-25 school year, the Pride of Eufaula began its race to earn the school’s 25thOSSAA Sweepstakes Award competing in the OSSAA Regional Marching Contest in McAlester and earning Straight Superior ratings.

HOMECOMING ROYALTY

The Ironheads celebrated Homecoming 2024 at Paul Bell Stadium with the coronation of Queen Kimberly Adcock and King Carson Luna. Other members of the Eufaula royalty court included senior attendant Kadie Jo Tidwell escorted by Richie Beaver, junior attendant Gracie Burke escorted by Ledger Folsom, sophomore attendant Niley Angell escorted by Tristan Cummings and freshman attendant Jana Hickman escorted by Chase Bumgarner. Steely Deckard and Ryker Luna were this year’s flower girl and crown bearer. 

SPIRIT OF THE IRONHEADS

On the sidelines at football games as well as many other community events, Eufaula cheerleaders continue to energize the spirit of the Ironheads with non-stop excitement. The 24-member squad includes four seniors Kassidy Greenlee, Kelsey Burns, Kiercey Culbreath and Yvette Sanchez-Vargas joined by six juniors including Sydney Schiffli, Cierra McGuire, Ariel Greenlee, Kunawv Kaulaity, Miah Lewis, and Gracie Burke. Eight sophomore including Mileigh Dosh, Paige Coppick, Carissa Igney, Zayana Price, Averi Graham, Faith Graham, Asyah Holley and Niley Angell add to the energy alongside six freshmen London Wingo, Payton Oden, Kayleigh Kammer, Mattie Rodebush, Rayleigh Houston and McKinley Rea. EHS cheerleaders are coached by Lori Curtis.
