OUTLOOK
The Lions bring back virtually their entire starting lineup. Now is the time to pounce. “We have eight returning starters with a very strong pitching staff,” Howe head coach Shelby Whitecotton said. “This team is led by five strong seniors eager to get to work!” One of those seniors, Jazzlyn Harrison (UTL, Sr.) is expected to be one of the best returning players in the area. “Jazzlyn is a senior returner who is always willing to go the extra mile and put in the extra work to get better and stronger,” Whitecotton said. “Jazzy is an important leader on our team who not only leads us physically, shealso leads spiritually. Jazzlyn is a team player and is willing to do whatever it takes to win!” An exciting newcomer, Kobi Krebbs (P. Fr.) looks to make a splash. “Kobi is a freshman pitcher who can also swing it a little bit,” Whitecotton said. “Not known for power but known to execute in any given situation. Smart player with a bright future for Howe softball!” Karley Duvall’s (UTL, Jr.) role in Howe’s success cannot be understated. “She is a returning three-year starter for the Howe Lady Lions,” Whitecotton said. “Karley can play all positions on the field and is a huge asset to our team. Always going the extra mile for her team when no one is watching!” Preslee Jackson (UTL, Sr.) provides a vital clubhouse presence. “Preslee is a returning senior starter who is the definition of a good character,” Whitecotton said. “Her team looks to her for positive encouragement and she is well known around campus for her positive attitude and good character.”
