STIGLER LADY PANTHERS
Coach: ADAM ENGLE
25-9
The Stigler Lady Panthers are entering the season with determination and focus. “With a disappointing loss in super regionals last year and regionals the year before, we are locked in and have our sights set on the state tournament,” head coach Adam Engle said. The offense will be led by senior catcher Dally Engle (.433 avg), who has committed to the University of Louisiana Monroe. Joining her are standout players like senior third baseman Caitlin Lovett (.385 avg), senior shortstop Jordan Johnson (.346 avg), and senior pitcher/first baseman Cambry Cook (1.905 ERA, 22 wins, 167 SO, .298 avg). Senior outfielders Rilee Williams (.296 avg) and Kenadee Spradley (.333 avg) add depth to a powerful lineup. “We return seven starters who have the experience needed to get the job done. This team has great chemistry and knows how important it is to truly be a team,” Engle added.
Defensively, the Lady Panthers will rely on their experienced core to lead the way. Dally Engle, a solid defensive catcher, will be a key player behind the plate. “She is a solid defensive catcher with a .430+ batting average and 14 home runs over the last two seasons,” Engle said. “Her work ethic, leadership and commitment to getting better is unmatched.” Cambry Cook will play a pivotal role both as a pitcher and at first base. The infield will be solidified by Caitlin Lovett at third base and Jordan Johnson at shortstop. “Lovett is solid defensively and very consistent at the plate, averaging .350+ with six homeruns over the last two seasons,” Engle said. “She is a hard worker, a great leader, and a great teammate.” The outfield will be patrolled by the experienced duo of Rilee Williams and Kenadee Spradley. With a strong defensive unit, the Lady Panthers are poised to be a formidable force on the field.
