WESTVILLE LADY YELLOWJACKETS
COACH: Bobbi Eagleton
Record: 19-11
OUTLOOK
Coming off a strong 19–11 season, the Westville Lady Yellowjackets enter the new year with experience, depth, and heightened expectations. Head coach Bobbi Eagleton, now in her sixth year at the helm, is confident her group is built for a deep postseason push. “I have everyone back plus we have added a few key players,” Eagleton said. “We expect to make a run in the playoffs.”
That returning experience is anchored by two Top 100 nominees who bring leadership, scoring ability, and versatility to the Lady Jackets’ lineup. Senior Kaleigh Carte is the steady presence every winning team needs. “Kaleigh is a senior that has a ton of experience, and I am looking forward to her season,” Eagleton said. “She leads by example and is the silent leader on the team.” Her leadership sets the tone for a group that already understands what it takes to win at a high level.
Fellow senior Piper Blackburn adds elite athleticism and scoring firepower. “Piper is also a senior and she is one of the best athletes I have coached, and she has the ability to score 15 or more a night,” Eagleton said. Her versatility on both ends of the floor makes her one of the most dynamic players in the area and a cornerstone of Westville’s postseason hopes.
The Lady Yellowjackets’ future is also bright with a pair of talented sophomores stepping into key roles. Amrie Gregory provides perimeter scoring and off-the-dribble creativity. “Amrie is a sophomore that is a sharpshooter and can drive to the basket,” Eagleton said. Her offensive skillset gives Westville another weapon in the backcourt.
Inside, sophomore forward Brooke Blackburn brings toughness, physicality, and the ability to finish at the rim. “Brooke is a sophomore forward that can get to the basket, and she plays tough defense,” Eagleton said. Her presence adds balance to a roster that can score at all three levels.
With every contributor returning and new impactful pieces added to the mix, the Lady Yellowjackets have all the ingredients for a breakout season. Backed by senior leadership, rising underclassmen, and a coach confident in her group’s potential, Westville enters the 2025–26 campaign with one clear goal — make a run in the playoffs.
