VYPE: Can you tell us a little about yourself and how you got started in football?
Dusty Tedder: I love hunting, fishing, and Jesus. I have been playing since third grade.
VYPE: What inspired you to play football, and who are your biggest influences?
DT: Always going to the games on Friday nights just seemed fun. My biggest influence is my dad. He’s the hardest working player I know.
VYPE: What is your specific role on the team, and how do you prepare for it?
DT: I wouldn’t say I have a specific role. I just moved all over the offensive line. I just play hard wherever I’m told.
VYPE: What has been the most challenging moment in your football career so far, and
how did you overcome it?
DT: Fracturing my hip last season; I didn’t know if I’d be able to even play that season but
after physical therapy, I made it back in three weeks.
VYPE: Can you share a highlight or memorable moment from this season?
DT: Going to Buffalo Wild Wings after our week one win.
VYPE: Where do you see yourself in five years, both in football and outside of it?
DT: If I get to play at the next level, I’d love to but if not, I’d like to work at Lake Region.
VYPE: How important is community support to the team, and in what ways does it impact your performance?
DT: It’s great, it’s a different feeling to have the whole community behind you.
VYPE: What advice would you give to younger players aspiring to play high schoolfootball?
DT: Just put the work in and you’ll do fine.
VYPE: Who do you look up to as a role model, both on and off the field?
DT: My dad.
VYPE: Looking back, what are you most proud of in your football career at HulbertHigh School?
DT: Ending their losing streak.
VYPE: Is there anyone you’d like to thank for supporting you throughout your
journey?
DT: My family’s always been there no matter what.
