Panama’s Dylan Restine – Baseball Spotlight – Presented by Sans Bois Hospice

Watching his older brother play baseball ignited a passion in Dylan Restine that has only grown stronger with time. “I’m a senior at Panama High School. I come from a family of four. I started playing t-ball at age three and fell in love with the sport,” Dylan shared. His journey from the t-ball field to leading the Razorbacks has been shaped by dedication and family influence.

“My dad and my older brother have been my biggest influences,” he said. “Growing up watching my brother play baseball and knowing my dad’s love for the sport inspired me to play.” That early inspiration has translated into years of hard work and determination.

As a leader on a senior-heavy team, Dylan recognizes the importance of setting an example. “My role on the team is to be a leader. Being a senior means setting a good example for others. Working harder every day and being better than I was the day before is how I prepare,” he explained.

For Dylan, a typical training week is rigorous and purposeful. “I wake up at 5 a.m. Monday through Friday for lifting or strength training and speed and agility drills. In the afternoons, I hit every day, and on Sundays, I work out at Koda Sports and Performance,” he said.

Dylan’s hard work has paid off in memorable moments. “Two moments really impacted me last season: my team winning the Leflore County Tournament and hitting two three-run homers in the regional tournament that helped advance the Razorbacks to the state tournament,” he said. Those achievements have only fueled his desire to push further.

Looking ahead, Dylan has big goals. “I see myself at a Division I school playing the sport I love and pursuing a degree in business,” he said. For now, he’s focused on the present and grateful for the support of his community. “The fans’ encouragement pushes me to play better. One fan in particular, Joe Butler, never misses a game.”

Dylan will continue his journey at Seminole State College on a baseball scholarship, where he plans to grow both on and off the field. “I’d like to thank my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for supporting me throughout my journey.”
