COACH: Edward Lewis

Record: 25-3

OUTLOOK

Coming off a dominant 25-3 season, the Roland Rangers return a veteran roster loaded with experience, talent, and multiple scoring threats. Head coach Edward Lewis believes that depth and continuity will be major advantages. “We have several returning letterman and starters. So, experience should be a positive for us,” Lewis said. “We have several players that can score which should help on offense.”

At the forefront of Roland’s high-powered attack is sophomore sensation Damonte Owens (5-9, So.), who averaged an impressive 21.4 points per game to go along with 3.5 assists and 2.6 steals. His ability to score at all three levels makes him one of the most dangerous young guards in Oklahoma. Joining him is Kade Shook (6-2, Jr.), a dynamic guard who filled the stat sheet last season with 8.7 points, 5 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 2 steals per game. Together, they form one of the state’s most explosive backcourts.

Senior leadership comes from Mason Kemp (6-1, Sr.), a versatile forward who added 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals per game, and Paul Johnson (5-9, Sr., Guard), a steady presence in the rotation. Cason Perryman (6-0, Sr., Forward) and Raiden Knight (5-8, Sr., Guard) add essential depth and experience as part of Roland’s seasoned senior class.

A promising young group strengthens the Rangers even further. Landon Fowler (6-2, So.) brings size and rebounding at forward after posting 5 points and 5 rebounds per game, while Kayden Hartt (5-8, Jr.) adds backcourt scoring at 4 points per game. Additional size comes from Bryson Myers (6-1, So., Forward) and freshman Tae Smith (6-0, Fr., Guard), who provide athleticism and depth.

With returning stars, strong role players, and multiple scoring options, Roland is built for another postseason run. Lewis credits the team’s maturity and versatility as key strengths. “Experience should be a positive for us,” he emphasized.

With veteran leadership leading the charge, the Rangers enter 2025-26 poised for another standout year.
