OUTLOOK
In his first year at Panama, head coach Jace Blaylock inherits a roster built on a blend of young talent, returning experience, and a standout senior leader. “We are a team complete with talent, youth, and experience,” Blaylock said. “We have one senior, three juniors, four sophomores, and two freshmen. We bring a lot of athletic ability and high defensive IQ. That’s all lead by our one senior Sky Bluford. She really sets our tone defensively. Being an athletic guard with a great instinct defensively, she finds herself always being in the right spot very often. I look forward to seeing her grow this year as a leader.”
Bluford (5-7, Sr., G) headlines a deep roster. “A senior that has started all four years, she will be an incredible piece to our team this year.”
Panama’s junior class brings length and versatility with Kyle Gollihare (5’6”, G), Heidi McGuire (5-11, G), and Gracyn Weaver (5-8, F). Weaver also earned the program’s Character Counts honor, with Blaylock calling her, “Just a kid that does absolutely everything that is asked of her. Understands her role and absolutely excels at it. A true glue girl for our team.”
The sophomore group adds major scoring and depth. Kenna Nixon (5-10, G) returns as the team’s underclassman to watch after averaging double figures as a freshman. “Sophomore guard that averaged 12 a game as a freshman and looks to add on to that,” Blaylock said. She is joined by Jesse Logan (5-8, G), Brynleigh Taylor (5-9, F), and Cadence Ysbrand (5-10, F)—all expected to contribute meaningful minutes.
Two freshmen—Ridgeley Dill (5-8, F) and Chloe Cooper (5-8, F)—bring additional size and athleticism to a roster already rich with defensive potential.
With one of the area’s top senior leaders, an explosive sophomore scorer, and a wave of young talent ready to break out, the Razorbacks enter the 2025–2026 season prepared to build on last year’s success. Blaylock’s confidence in this group is clear, and Panama looks poised to become one of the most competitive teams in their class.
