WILSON-HENRYETTA TIGERS CHEER
COACH: Destinie Huffman
OUTLOOK
Under second-year head coach Destinie Huffman, the Wilson-Henryetta cheer program is building momentum and establishing new milestones as they enter the 2025-26 season. After making school history last year by competing in GameDay Competition for the first time ever, the Tigers are stepping into this season with confidence, growth, and a clear vision for what comes next.
“This is my second year coaching at Wilson!” coach Huffman said. “The goal is to grow the cheer program! The girls competed the first time ever in school history in GameDay Competition, this year! We have continued to grow each year!”
That growth has become the foundation of the team’s identity. With increased numbers, improved skills, and an evolving tradition of competitive cheer, coach Huffman has established a culture built around progress, pride, and pushing boundaries. Her squad continues to elevate their stunting, sharpness, game-day presence, and leadership—setting a new standard for Wilson-Henryetta spirit.
Throughout the summer and preseason, the Tigers focused heavily on technique, synchronization, crowd-leading, and performance quality. Their commitment to long-term improvement has positioned them to take another step forward competitively while also bringing high energy to every pep rally, football game, and basketball game.
What makes this team special is not just their achievements, but their willingness to buy into the process. Coach Huffman’s emphasis on building a stronger program—physically, mentally, and culturally—has created a squad that embraces challenges and celebrates growth at every level.
With a returning coach, increasing experience, and a team hungry to build on last year’s milestone, the Tigers enter the season determined to continue rewriting school history. And coach Huffman fully believes in what this group is capable of accomplishing.
This season, they’re ready to take the next big step.
