WELEETKA OUTLAWS

Coach: TRISTAN GARRINGER

11-2

OFFENSE

Weleetka returns to the field with a highly experienced offense, led by standout offensive performers Isaac and Isaiah Drake. “We return seven starters on both sides of the ball, all of which are multi-year starters for us and have deep playoff experience making two quarterfinal appearances the last two years,” coach Tristan Garringer said. “We will have a lot of depth on both sides of the ball.” The Outlaws will employ a spread offense under the guidance of Garringer. “We’re wanting to be more balanced this year with establishing the run as well as getting the ball out quick with high percentage completions,” Garringer said. The offense will be orchestrated by quarterback Isaiah Drake (6-1, 200, Jr.), who will have key targets in wide receivers Waylan Bales (5-11, 164, Sr.) and Bretton Hare (5-11, 172, Sr.). Running back Isaac Drake (6-1, 175, Sr.) will also play a pivotal role. The offensive line is anchored by returning starters. With seven returning starters, the Outlaws are aiming for a strong offensive season.

DEFENSE

The Outlaws’ defense will operate from a 3-2 base. The unit will focus on playing quick and aggressive football. “Our base defensive formation will be a 3-2, we’re wanting to play fast and aggressive,” Garringer said. The defensive line features Joseph Kelough (5-10, 220, Sr.) and Jeffery Tiger-Manley (5-10, 215, Sr.), both powerful presences in the trenches. In the secondary, Waylan Bales and Bretton Hare will provide solid coverage as cornerbacks. The linebackers are led by returning starters Isaac and Isaiah Drake, both of whom bring intensity and physicality to the defense, forcing turnovers and making crucial tackles last season. With seven returning starters, the Outlaws’ defense is expected to be a formidable unit this season. Assistant coaches include Tony Hawkins, Johnie Loggins, and Chris Carter.
