Girls Basketball
Olivia Hamby – Eufaula
She is a freshman that will bring athleticism and perimeter play for all kinds of matchup problems. She has hit the ground running in the off-season and is working hard to be able to provide a role this year as a freshman on a very experienced varsity team.
Brenlee Moore – Fort Gibson
Brenlee burst on the scene late in the playoffs last year and that seemed to have given her a surge of momentum and confidence that has carried over to the summer and the fall.
River Shoemake – Gore
She gets better each time she gets on the floor. Started as a freshman and keeps improving, and she is a dominant player in the paint. She is a coachable athlete and will do whatever it takes.
Madison Humphrey & Ava Draper – Haskell
Both sophomores are incredibly athletic and have a keen understanding of their roles on the team, which makes them valuable assets. Their ability to score and contribute offensively will be crucial as they continue to develop and make an impact on the court. With their talent and determination, they are definitely athletes to watch.
Natalee Cope – Hilldale
Natalee is a sophomore who has improved tremendously since last season. She is a great shooter, an extremely hard worker, and is expected to come in and do some good things for the Lady Hornets this year.
Briley Vanbrunt – Midway
An up and coming freshman that is very knowledgeable of the game and strong under the goal.
Charlesia Normore & Ke’Lashia Smith – Muskogee
Charlesia and Ke’Lashia are two talented freshmen who will have a major impact for the Roughers this year. Diligent workers who put in the extra time to be great athletes, their overall work ethic will overshadow their inexperience.
Evie Spangler – Okay
Evie is a sharp shooter and solid rebounder. Only a sophomore, she is an honor student and she works extremely hard. She has a high basketball IQ and she loves the game.
Nora Barnes – Porum
Nora has worked hard in the offseason and looks to be much improved this season. Defensively, she is aggressive and very tough to get around or through. She blocks out every time and can jump.
Maddy Pruett – Stigler
She will be stepping into a big role for Stigler this year. She has been a leader throughout her junior high career and earned minutes last season as a freshman.
Alayzia McNack – Wagoner
A very athletic guard who can really defend and score the basketball.
Emercyn Baldridge – Warner
Emercyn is a great overall athlete. She is a sharp shooter from the three point line and is a hard worker.
Mya Soap-Henson & Aveah Gifford – Hulbert
Mya is an outstanding on-ball defender. Her minutes picked up a lot late last year and she will step into a starting role this season. Her ability to pressure the ball full court will be perfect for how the team wants to play defense. Aveah has a ton of potential. Her freshman season was cut short in the fourth game of the season. As a freshman, she averaged 3.6 points and 4.8 rebounds a game in only 10 minutes a game. She could eventually be a double double type of player.
Kallie Dougherty – Keys
Kallie is a sophomore who played a lot of minutes last season. She has a chance to help even more this season. Kallie brings a lot of competitiveness and toughness to the team.
Ava Swafford – Stilwell
Ava is looking to step into a huge role as a sophomore after having a very successful freshman season. She is an animal in the weightroom who had a lot of success on the school powerlifting team this past season. She is a physical guard who is able to score at all three levels.
Lakyn Adams – Tahlequah
Lakyn will be playing major minutes in the point guard role this season due to injury. She is very athletic, quick, and determined to have a big season.
Brenly Lamb & Juliana Davenport – Sequoyah Tahlequah
Brenly is a guard that shoots the ball really well beyond the arc and has a good mid-range jumper. She is able to get in the paint and finish around the basket.
Juliana is a small forward that plays bigger than she is and has a nose for the ball. She is a strong rebounder and finishes well around the basket.
Brooke Blackburn – Westville
Brooke is a freshman forward that plays tough and will contribute down low. She is a hard worker and can score a lot of points down low. She is a great asset to the team.
Taylor Phillips – Morris
Her speed and agility allow her to navigate through defenses, making quick decisions to drive to the basket or create opportunities for her teammates. She may still be developing her court awareness and strategic understanding of the game, but her enthusiasm and willingness to learn make her a valuable asset to the team.
Savannah Switch – Okemah
Savannah is a great ball handling guard that is also tough defensively. She continues to get better scoring from the three point line and getting to the basket and is developing a mid range jumper. Hard worker, sees the floor well and makes good decisions.
Macy Dobson – Wilson (Henryetta)
Macy was a great leader for the junior high team last year. She had to take on more with injuries that were sustained with other players. She has great leadership ability and she is very coachable. She had a solid summer basketball campaign. She was aggressive offensively and made things happen. She plays with a certain toughness and tenacity that is second to none.
Keliah Ellingberg – Muldrow
Keliah will make an immediate impact in high school basketball. She has great speed and just knows how to score.
Kylee Gollihare – Panama
Kylee led the team in scoring as a freshman last year. A deadly shooter with improving ball handling skills and a pull up jumper.
Kinlee Taylor – Poteau
Kinlee has spent the last few years really working on her post game and toughness. This season will lead to a much higher playing time and she could become a key component for the team both on offense and defense.
Ryanne Nelke & Halle Freeman – Roland
Two outstanding athletes that are not afraid to put in the work and make things happen. Ryanne and Halle will both look to make an impact on the floor for Roland this season.
Channing Wilson – Sallisaw
Channing is a sophomore who had an opportunity to play some significant minutes as a freshman. She is a strong athlete and has a really good mid range jump shot. She is a great rebounder and is physical getting to the basket.
Jaiklyn Rogers – Spiro
Jaiklyn played a significant role as a freshman last year. She shot 41% from the three point line, averaging just under four points per game and one rebound per game. As she takes on an expanded role this year her numbers are expected to take a huge jump.
