3 RIVERS GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYERS TO WATCH

The talent pool is rich again this season. While others are just as deserving, here’s just a few of those hardwood heroes on the girls court that VYPE editors believe will be game changers and play key roles in the success of their teams.

KENNEDEE WILLIAMS (GORE)

Through her consistency and relentless efforts on both ends of the court, Kennedy averaged a double-double last season for the Lady Pirates. She also recorded multiple 20-plus point performance. A dominant presence anywhere on the court, she is will to put in whatever work is required to help her team succeed.

SLATEY JO FREE (HOWE)

Part of three State Tournament teams including the 2023 State Runner-up and semifinalist in 2024, Slatey Jo will once again put Howe in position for a state title in 2026. A two-year starter for the Lady Lions, the senior guard has already totaled more than 1,000 points in her career in addition to providing leadership on both end of the court.

PAIZLEE ZODROW (KEYS)

A multi-sport talent, Paizlee played a pivotal role in the Lady Cougars reaching the Class 3A state tournament a year ago in which she led her team in scoring averaging 16 points per contest as a freshman and considered to be one of the best players in Class 3A entering this season.

JADYN ALLEN (MASON)

Returning for her senior campaign, the manner by which Jadyn has become an impact performer is impressive. At 5-foot-7, she has proven she can score at all three levels that will undoubtedly result in surpassing the 1000 point standard early this season.

ELEXIS HOLMES (MUSKOGEE)

Elexis is an extremely hard worker and one of the top players in her class statewide, holding multiple Division I offers. She averaged 21 points and eight rebounds last season, earning Conference MVP honors as a freshman and multiple tournament MVP awards. She is a strong leader willing to sacrifice for her team.

AALIYAH MOORE (PORTER)

Aaliyah Moore is a three-year starter, two-time All-Conference honoree, and two-time Defensive Player of the Year. She averaged 17.3 points, 9.2 rebounds, and recorded 83 blocks last season. Aaliyah is a difference-maker on both ends of the court.

RYANNE NELKE (ROLAND)

Ryanne has been Roland’s leading scorer the past two seasons, averaging 18.2 points per game last year while shooting an impressive 48% from three. She also finished second on the team in steals and assists, with both expected to rise this season. After a strong summer and attention from Division I and II programs, Ryanne is ready for an expanded role.

PRAIREE BREEZE HOLMES (SEQUOYAH TAHLEQUAH)

The tradition of success for the Lady Indians remains remains solid bolstered by the impact performances of the Sequoyah senior who leads virtually all of the statistical categories while demonstrating confidence and leadership under pressure.
