Stigler Panthers – Softball – Presented by Dunn Country Ford

Coach: Dannie Culwell

Last Year: 23-11

The fall campaign for the Stigler Lady Panthers brings about a changing of the guard following the graduation of six starters coupled with a coaching change as Dannie Culwell assumes the head coaching position.

“We’ll have young team that haven’t played much together but they’re full of energy and talent,” Culwell said while examining the 2025 roster. “They’re ready to put in the work and because of the overall potential of the group, we’re looking forward to a successful season.”

Returning to the outfield is Peyton Mecom, who brings a lot to this team because of her softball skills, playing experience and leadership along with Brooklyn Tomlinson and Kale Leedom in utility roles.  Nolee Blanchett will move from second base to catcher for her junior season along with two other classmates Keeli Adams who returns to the lineup card playing first base and Brinley Wilson (UTL). Five sophomores will bring energy to the field including Addy Wallis (P/UTL), Joselin Lopez (OF), Kate Nixon (UTL), Mya Nixon (UTL) and Marlee Bracken (UTL).

The new coach welcomes the skills of a quartet of freshmen that combine together to give the Panthers depth in the pitching circle resulting from the efforts of Lexi Kates along with Macoy Garner, Jewelian Goff and Addy Wallace. The trio will see action in multiple positions when not taking the ball as the Panthers pitcher while Sadie Hatfield bolsters play at catcher.

Stigler opens play on the road at McAlester (Aug. 11) and Broken Bow (Aug. 12) before playing in front of the hometown crowd against Checotah (Aug. 13).
