Coach: Kia Holmes
23-24 Record: 23-6
Graduation losses of four starters hasn’t dampened the expectations for the Lady Tigers who enter the 24-25 season with a roster filled with eight underclassmen of sophomores and freshmen. A true game changer, BrenLee Morgan (5-2, Jr.) is the lone returning starter after injuries forced her into the Tigers starting lineup to average 10 points as well as grab 3.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest. “BrenLee has no quit and brings toughness to our team,” said head coach Kia Holmes. “She’s a fast, scrappy player who will do whatever it takes for her team to win.” The Tigers coach also likes the impact efforts of Shianne Dill (5-5, Jr.) as a true scoring threat. “She has really turned into an offensive threat from all areas on the court including her ability to score from the three point line,” said Holmes. “I really like how Shianne brings heart and leadership to the court everyday.” Miley Holt (5-4, Sr.) brings veteran leadership to the floor as the only senior on this year’s squad while Holmes expects Tyann Stacy (5-5, So.) and Mia Scott (5-6, Fr.) to bolster play on both ends of the court. The depth and energy of the Lady Tigers bench will be a key requirement where Trinity Mullen (5-10, So.), Kadence Strube (5-9, So.) provide length while Hadley Branan (5-5, So.), Bella Flurry (5-7, Fr.), Emma Dill (5-5, Fr.) and Emma McMahon (5-5, Fr.) compete for minutes on the floor.
“Even though we graduated four starters, we are excited about this young group. They work hard, are scrappy, play for each other, and are a fun group to coach,” said Holmes.
