Warner isn’t approaching 2026 as a team hoping to break through. The Lady Eagles are determined to prove last year’s state tournament run was the expectation, not the exception. After finishing 29-5, fourth-year head coach Carson Foreman welcomes back a veteran group that understands what it takes to compete on the biggest stage. Five experienced seniors headline a roster built around continuity, leadership and a culture that’s been years in the making, giving Warner every reason to believe another deep postseason run is within reach.
That veteran leadership starts with Ella LaBounty, a four-year starter who has been a fixture in the lineup since earning a starting role as a freshman. Foreman credits LaBounty with helping shape the identity of the program through her leadership and consistency, qualities that have made her one of Warner’s most respected players. She also excels away from the field, maintaining a 4.0 GPA while taking concurrent classes through Connors State College, reflecting the same dedication in the classroom that she brings to the diamond.
Senior Tallon Ashmore gives Warner another dependable leader. A consistent presence in the lineup since her freshman season, Ashmore has developed into one of the cornerstones of the program thanks to her competitive spirit, relentless work ethic and willingness to lead by example. Foreman says she has earned the respect of her teammates, particularly the younger players who look to her for guidance, while matching that leadership with a 4.0 GPA and concurrent college coursework.
The future remains just as promising with sophomore Paisley LaBounty. Coming off an outstanding freshman season, she enters the year poised for an expanded role after impressing the coaching staff with her tireless work ethic and commitment to improving every aspect of her game. Those traits, combined with her success in the classroom, make her one of the program’s rising stars as Warner looks to sustain its success.
Warner has already shown it can compete with the state’s best. With an experienced senior class setting the tone and a talented young nucleus continuing to develop, the Lady Eagles believe they have the leadership, culture and talent to make another memorable run this spring.
