PORUM LADY PANTHERS FASTPITCH SOFTBALL 2026
Coach: KEELY HALLMAN
26-7

Porum enters the 2026 season looking to build on another successful campaign after finishing 26-7 a year ago. Although the Lady Panthers remain one of the younger teams in the area, head coach Keely Hallman believes experience gained over the past season has positioned the program for another strong run. Porum returns six starters from last year’s squad and features a roster with just two seniors, two sophomores and a talented group of incoming freshmen. Hallman expects the Lady Panthers to rely on their athleticism, softball IQ and defensive play as they navigate another challenging schedule.

Despite the youth throughout the lineup, Porum brings back players who have already logged valuable varsity experience. That continuity should allow the Lady Panthers to play with confidence while continuing to develop throughout the season. Hallman expects the team’s defensive consistency to be one of its biggest strengths, believing the group has the athletic ability and toughness to make life difficult for opposing offenses.

Leading the way is sophomore Jayci Hallman, who made an immediate impact as a freshman by starting every game. The dynamic leadoff hitter batted .511 while showcasing a rare blend of speed, power and defensive versatility. Hallman primarily patrols center field and shortstop, but she could also see time at third base this season. Her strong arm, dependable glove and advanced softball instincts make her one of the Lady Panthers’ most valuable players and a cornerstone of the program moving forward.

Versatile sophomore Railey Tillery provides another important piece for Porum. Hallman praised Tillery’s softball IQ and ability to contribute at multiple positions, giving the coaching staff flexibility throughout the season. Freshman Asher Bush is another player expected to make an impact, bringing similar versatility and a strong understanding of the game despite her youth.

Senior Kasandra Horton sets the tone with her leadership and selfless approach. Hallman described Horton as the type of player every team wants, noting her upbeat attitude, willingness to encourage teammates and commitment to putting the team first. With a talented young core continuing to mature and several proven contributors returning, the Lady Panthers have the pieces in place to remain one of the area’s toughest defensive clubs while continuing the winning tradition established under Hallman’s leadership.
