2026 Porter Pirates Football Preview – Presented by BancFirst Coweta

PORTER CONSOLIDATED PIRATES

Coach: PHIL MCWILLIAMS

1-6

Porter begins a new era in 2026 under first-year head coach Phil McWilliams, and the Pirates are building around size in the trenches and experience at key skill spots. McWilliams is excited about the combination of returning linemen and emerging playmakers that gives this group a clear identity on both sides of the ball.

On offense, Porter will run a spread attack behind a big offensive line, emphasizing run-pass options and power concepts to keep defenses off balance. The Pirates will lean on guards Uriel Ledezma (6-1, 290) and Xander Murray (6-3, 300) to clear paths up front, giving quarterback Riley Holman (5-10, 165) time to operate and make decisions in the passing game. Tailback Jacobi Jones (6-0, 185) is the primary ballcarrier, and he will be joined by a deep receiving group that includes Gabe Dickens (6-0, 165), Micah Jones (5-10, 150) and Hayden Peaker (5-6, 135). With four offensive starters returning, Porter expects to be more efficient and explosive as the scheme continues to take hold.

Defensively, the Pirates will base out of a 3-4, with weekly variations to adjust to the different offensive styles they will face. Up front, Bradley Spotts (6-3, 265), Ronee Frakes (6-0, 250), Kayden Brown (6-2, 280), Jordan and Malachi Jackson (6-0, 210) will rotate, using their size to control the line. At linebacker, Stetson Jackson, Dickens, Holman and Kaden Hiler (5-9, 185) form the core of the front seven, while the secondary features Jacobi and Micah Jones, Peaker and Carson Byrd (5-9, 155). With five defensive starters returning and added depth across the board, Porter aims to be more physical and assignment-sound each week.
