Ok Ag Credit FFA Spotlight – Charity Thompson – Howe High School

Charity Thompson of Howe High School spent her youth around organizations like 4-H and FFA. When she entered into the eighth grade, Thompson knew she wanted to join.

“I’ve been in 4-H and FFA my whole life grew up around all of it. My big sister, Hattie Wolfe encouraged me to join. I looked up to her so much and still do to this day,” said Thompson.

Thompson spends her time in OCC, meat judging and speeches, but she said there is something for everyone in FFA.

“The knowing that no matter what you’re going through you’ll always have your FFA family,” Thompson said. “The advice I would give them is do it. It was and is the best thing I’ve done for my life. You’ll never know who’ll you meet. I’ve met my best friend since I’ve been in FFA.”

Thompson also plays basketball and is involved in YHAL and YAB. Only a freshman, Thompson is excited for what comes next, including preparing for her future.

“I plan on going to Beaty School while in high school and follow my big sister Hattie’s footsteps and start a salon with her,” said Thompson.
