“If you work hard, you can achieve your goals.” This straightforward advice from Aiden Turley, a standout football player at Webbers Falls High School, reflects the mindset that drives him both on and off the field. Aiden’s football journey began early—”I started playing football in first grade”—and has been fueled by a passion inspired by family. “Watching my uncles, Taylor and Tyler Stephens, play really got me into football,” Aiden explained. His uncles continue to be key role models for him today.
This season, Aiden plays an essential role for the team as both a tailback and linebacker. He emphasized preparation, saying, “Weightlifting and practice every day” are crucial parts of his routine. Aiden describes the team chemistry as another critical factor: “Strong work chemistry helps a team stay motivated and focused on doing what needs to be done.” His hard work and leadership reflect the broader goal for 2024: “Our goal is to make it to playoffs, and we hope to win state.”
The journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Aiden admits that one of the most difficult parts of his career has been “learning new positions and working hard to do the best I can in every task I am given.” But his persistence has paid off. Last season, Webbers Falls advanced to the second round of the playoffs, and Aiden is determined to help his team go even farther this year.
When he’s not on the field, Aiden enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing and hunting. Looking ahead, he hopes to continue playing football beyond high school. “If given the opportunity, I would like to continue playing football for a college somewhere.” He also reflects on the importance of those who have encouraged him along the way: “My coaches and family have been a huge support.” He expresses gratitude to his favorite teacher, Tyler Cramer, for “encouragement to do better.”
With a passion for football, a strong work ethic, and a focus on his goals, Aiden Turley is a key player for Webbers Falls—and one to watch as the team pushes toward the back half of the 2024 season.
